One of the main things that contribute to a happy marriage is being able to have fun with your spouse.

Teach Yourself to Sing

Author and playwright Rose Franken once said “Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly.”

Wise words…

What do you and your spouse do for fun?

Think about it – if you’re going to spend your “happily ever after” with a person, you better find a way to have fun together.

When it comes to having fun, my wife Yvonne and I like to sing together.  We often go to Karaoke bars and spend a couple of hours singing our hearts out, whether it’s in a private room or in front of the whole crowd at the bar.

Other times, Yvonne and I not just sing, but also write our own songs. And sometimes these songs can get fun and silly, which makes us feel like young kids again.  It’s like playing with your childhood best friend, only that the play date never ends!

Just to give you an idea of what I’m talking about, I’d like to share with you one of our goofy creations – a parody song called “Wanted Dead or Online” which we co-wrote to Bon Jovi’s song “Wanted Dead or Alive.” (We are both HUGE fans!)

It started as Yvonne’s idea and the fact that I’m a complete web-addict.  So instead of arguing about the long hours that I spend in front of the computer, we decided to make fun of it through a song.  And we went as far as recording it while sharing some great laughs in the process.  Something that for sure keeps us both Happily Married.

Check out the video below and sing along to the lyrics if you feel like it!

Song Lyrics:

When I was growing up, I had dreams of becoming a Rockstar…

It was either gonna be that – or a Ninja… but my parents weren’t very happy about the Ninja thing.

As the years went by, the Rockstar thing didn’t pan out and after 2 cracked ribs and a broken nose at Karate class – I decided to give up the Ninja dream as well…

Then I became an adult and I had no choice but to “pay my own bills”, so I pushed those fantasies aside, put on a suit and tie – and joined the corporate world.

But then, in my darkest hour, along came the World Wide Web and my life took on a whole new direction…

I’m not the same
The Internet made me change
Every day I post my status update

In Cyberspace
Where my pictures won’t grow old
I surf online and I feel so bold.

I’m a web guy.
Without Internet I’d die…
I’m wanted… Dead or Online.
Wanted… Dead or Online.

Sometimes I Tweet. (Tweet)
Sometimes I Blog away.
The people Re-Tweet…
And leave comments every day.

Sometimes I search for days,
First in Google then in Bing.
Don’t call me on my phone
Cause I’ll just let it ring.

I’m a web guy.
Without Internet I’d die…
I’m wanted… Dead or Online.
Wanted… Dead or Online.

I’m Online…

Web!

‘Cause I’m a web guy.
Without Internet I’d die…
I’m wanted… Dead or Online.

I shop for groceries
While I’m sitting home on Chat.
I text my peeps,
And I check in where I’m at.

A quick status share…
Leave your post on my wall.
Got all my friends on Facebook
and I’ve poked them all.

‘Cause I’m a web guy.
Without Internet I’d die…
I’m wanted… Dead or Online.
‘Cause I’m a web guy.
I got a digital mind.
I’m wanted… Dead or Online.

I’m online…

Dead or online

I’m online…

Dead or online

Dead or online

Dead or online Ooooh…

Dead or online

Dead or onliiiiineeeee……..

Wanted Dead or Online is a parody based on Bon Jovi’s original song Wanted Dead or Alive. George and Yvonne Levy have no association with Bon Jovi (…although that would have been really cool.)
